The Skinny on Barnes and why he’s 12 years old to watch

Barnes made his official visit to FSU during his major recruiting weekend in Miami, and Noles made a solid raise. After that visit, I feel like there is a very realistic shot of FSU in this race. why? The fact that the Seminoles run the ball more than any other team has seen Barnes personally, as well as the relationship between him and offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham, who was the first to introduce it. I think another key to FSU is that he is very impressed with what Norville is building.

Oklahoma is the big competition in this race. The OU running back coach has connections to the Vegas area, and this helps people around Barnes. But I think the thing to watch is how well the Sooners showcase the running game. If they do that more, the momentum could swing back toward sooner. It’s also worth noting that Barnes is from Orlando and most of his family is from there. Additionally, Barnes hinted that he might swing back to visit FSU again before he signs.
