The Warriors dominated early in the season and it became more and more clear one day that Golden State would be the favorites for the NBA Championship.

Coming on Tuesday night’s trip to the Barclays Center to tackle the rising net, the Golden State Warriors held the best NBA record of 11-2. However, there were fans and analysts alike who insisted on disparaging their early success, saying the team had a poor schedule. Thus, the match against the nets provided an opportunity to silence those voices.

Stephen Curry and the Warriors understand the mission. On the road, they completely blew the nets at 117-99 taking Golden State to 12-2 on the season and keeping them above the rest of the league in the standings during the first month of the season.

However, this is starting to look like something that’s not just something early in the season, but more like something that will continue throughout the 2021-22 campaign. And if that were the case, there would be no argument against the Warriors’ obvious and fervent favorite for winning the NBA Championship this year.

And after such a hot start to the Golden State, there are several reasons behind this.

5. Chemistry

This may sound banal, but it’s something completely integral to the Golden State’s success this season. In simpler terms, it’s pretty clear within seconds of watching this team that many of the key players have been together for several years now and have incorporated the newer pieces into the mix.

Whether we’re talking about Draymond Green finding Steph Curry with a pass to where the cute shooting guard hasn’t hit yet, or up the alley in the move and open floor to young Gary Payton II, or even trusting a player like Jordan Bull to keep shooting even when he’s out Home, the warriors are clearly in unison.

For this team to actually display that kind of chemistry a month into the season, it just goes to show how special this season is for them.
