Complete NL MVP Voting Results: Bryce Harper Wins MVP


The votes came from the American Baseball Writers Association, and Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies NL MVP was named.

The MLB Awards week came to a close Thursday night, with the main event featuring the MVP Awards competitions. The MLS was consistent with Shohei Ohtani expected to win, but the National League was a kind of broadly open competition between Bryce Harper, Juan Soto, and Fernando Tates Jr.

The American Baseball Writers Association revealed the results of their vote, and the Philadelphia Phillies player emerged victorious. With this said, Harper now has two NL MVP awards in his trophy bag, winning his first in 2015 as a member of the Washington Nationals.

Harper led the way with 17 first-place votes, nine second-place votes, and two third-place votes. He got a total of 348 points.

Soto, the star of the Washington Nationals, has six first places, 11 second places, and seven places third places from the book. Tates, the San Diego Padres Shortstop, had 1st, 2nd, 5rd place votes, and 15th 3rd votes.

The other players to get first place votes were Brandon Crawford (four) San Francisco Giants, and second Los Angeles Dodgers player Tria Turner (one).

Harper exits the 2021 campaign as he led the National League in slow (.615), OPS (1,044) and multiples (42). Overall, the defensive player has scored 309 hits on average, .429 on percentage basis, 35 home runs, 84 RBIs and 151 hits over 141 games.
