Florida Football: Jermaine Johnson has picked this week’s ACC DL
Florida football has one of the most dynamic defensive players in the entire country. For the fourth time this season, Jermaine Johnson was named the ACC Defensive Lineman of the week.
Johnson wreaked havoc for the entirety of the FSU’s 31-28 win over the Miami Hurricanes. The Georgia Bulldogs transfer had seven total saves, five loss saves, three sacks, and an enforced stumble. This was his second game of three sacks of the year.
The defensive end is now second in the country with 11 sacks this season. Johnson leads the ACC in the sacks and also deals with the loss (16). The senior player ranks second in FSU with a total of 61 tackles.
This is the third week in a row that FSU has had this week’s ACC Defensive Lineman. Johnson also took home the award for his performance in Clemson and Keir Thomas took the honors last week after Kessin from NC State’s Devin Leary.
