New England in Atlanta game preview

Why would New England win?

The Atlanta crime has gone bye bye.

Dallas may have been a little excited in last week’s 43-3 win over the Hawks—the Cowboys had been embarrassed by Denver the week before—but that didn’t excuse a little over 200 yards from the Atlanta attack total.

The running game hasn’t been around all year, there have been multiple twists in three of the last four, and now New England should capitalize on it all.

D is among the best in the league at passing the ball, the minor has not allowed more than 200 yards to pass in any of the past two weeks, and on the other hand, the running game is downhill no matter who holds the ball.

Why will Atlanta win?

The Hawks have a fun way to readjust and bounce back after miserable performances.

They were painfully inconsistent, but Matt Ryan bombed Miami, then did nothing against the Carolinas. The adjustment came—more mid-range throws, sharper plays to get the ball out of his hands—the big yards were there against New Orleans.

Atlanta experienced quite a bit of buzz last weekend. That’s it. It can be thrown over New England, and it has to be pulled out of its shell early.

What will happen

The Patriot formula works almost perfectly.

Run the ball, control the clock, score a third win, hit field goals, run more, and sprinkle a few junk food here and there.

It’s that simple. When Ryan throws for 300 yards, Atlanta wins. He’ll have a better day than he did in front of former Falcone coach, now Dallas’ defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, but it just won’t be enough.

New England +2 will be on the sidelines as it works its way to another win.
