NFL Twitter can’t believe how dirty the Browns-Ravens are on SNF

NFL Twitter users tried to tackle the first half of the Baltimore Ravens-Cleveland Browns’ dirty game on Sunday.

The NFL’s Week 12 roster wrapped up Sunday with the Baltimore Ravens hosting the Cleveland Browns. With the Cincinnati Bengals beating the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier in the day, both the Ravens and Browns were looking forward to a pivotal victory.

But the first half of the game was marked by some seriously dirty football. Five drives towards the back end of the half all marked a spin, including three interceptions by Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. It was definitely a sight to behold, as many Twitter users processed what they were watching, as well as creating some high quality memes in the process.

The Ravens and Browns played dirty football in the first half of Sunday Night Football

To make the sequence of events even more peculiar, Brown was the only team that capitalized on points on the scoreboard. After Jackson threw an objection at Brown’s Denzel Ward, Cleveland reduced their deficit to 6-3 on a 46-yard field goal by Chase McLaughlin.

Despite the ugliness of the first half, the Ravens were able to put that behind with their opening drive in the second half. Jackson was able to hit a tight end Mark Andrews in a pass from 39 yards, which was pulled with one hand and with the safety of Ronnie Harrison interfering with the play. Three plays later, Jackson connected Andrews again for 13 yards, giving Baltimore a 12-3 lead.

Let’s just say both teams will burn half of the first bar of this Sunday night’s competition.
