NoleGameday Staff Expectations: Florida in Florida

One win sits between Florida State and the program that earned a pot appearance after starting the season 0-4. The Seminoles will travel to Gainesville on Saturday afternoon to face the Florida team in the same scenario. FSU has won two games in a row with its back to the wall and will need to do the same this weekend. A victory would secure the program its first “state title” since 2016.

On the other hand, the Gators have lost four of their past five matches. The defeat in overtime over the weekend led to manager Dan Mullen’s dismissal. It remains to be seen if starting quarterback Emory Jones will be available for the competition. Jones was injured during training this week but is still able to play. It will likely be a game time decision.
