Preview of FSU Football’s mega-recruiting weekend for Miami game

This is one of the most important aspects of a big weekend of employment. While it sometimes takes time to see the impact of a weekend like this, there is no doubt that FSU coaches would like to see some immediate positive results.

With that in mind, here are a few possibilities I’ll be keeping a close eye on throughout the week.

At the top of that list would be Camden Brown of St. Thomas Aquinas descent, although he is committed to Pete. This is the guy who came to FSU two or three times this year and even stated that FSU was the show he was looking forward to. Now, there is still work to be done in terms of making a positive impression and showing that receivers will turn up in this offense, but there is no denying that FSU has a huge need in the receiver. And I fully expect Brown to see an opportunity to get on the field early.

Additionally, Brown is very close to FSU defensive linebacker Jarkis McClellon. He’s also grown up loving the Seminoles, and that helps too. But again, FSU will need to make a strong impression on the field. And I’m talking more about the team’s performance than the atmosphere.

Sticking to receiver position, two other people I will be seeing are the Gulliver Prep Jalen Brown’s premium wide receiver and American Heritage WR Santana Fleming. Both receivers are in the 2023 class, they both also visited FSU in the summer, and I think FSU has done a very good job of building relationships with both.

It also doesn’t hurt that both men have already developed a really strong relationship with FSU 2023 QB commits Chris Parson. I’m not saying they’ll stick around this weekend, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they hop aboard the Seminoles if all goes well for the visit and sees what they need to see in the field. I would say Fleming is more likely to jump on board than the two.
